Be Smart
What an OUTSTANDING Christmas...and now we are headed for 2010..WOW! If someone would have told me in 1963 that one day i would be living in a home that I owned, playing music full time and have 2 great kids and a granddaughter, and that my dad would still be alive and well, and we would both be BIG Spur's basketball fans, and that i would be very happily married for 19 years to a wonderful woman...Well I would have said.. "Are you insane?" But that is all true and more. I feel so very fortunate to be living in this GREAT country, doing what i love and loving what i do...AMERICA Oh I do love AMERICA.
Am not exactly sure what we are doing for New Years, we have several options. Make good choices at the end of this year while out partying, don't drive and drink. Enjoy yourself but be smart and We will see you down the trail soon..CBM

Where Am I
OK I have been absent from the Blogg-a-sphere for over a year. You might have wondered, Where is he, what has happened? What has be been doing? You may have wondered any number of things, or you may have just never given it much thought. Well to tell you the truth, I have just been kinda busy, and, I also forgot my "password".
Since my last blog I have signed with a new agency. Promising Project" and we are busy learning how to work together, so far so good. I played mainstage at the Kerrville Folk Festival this year, and am booked to do a tour of Ireland in August, so things have been steadily chuggin' along.
I am scheduled to record a brand new CD in February with the fabulous Jonathan Byrd producing. It will feature 12-15 brand new Butch songs and some of the best in North Carolina musicians as well as my son Trevor on Drums. To say I am excited about this would be putting it mildly. The release date is April 2010 and the first CD release should be at the Kerrville Folk festival in May of 2010. That is the plan. There is a lot I have not mentioned but i will try my best to be more consistent in my Bloggin', yes, I will try to keep Bloggin' on my noggin'
Merry CHRISTmas to all. Remember JESUS came into this world to save it, no to condemn it..sing Hallelujah and also. Happy New Year..
